Business Development Manager

We are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager for a bright, ambitious award winning company based in Exeter. This is a fast growing company, therefore, we seek candidates with the appetite and aptitude for great things continually driving the company forward. This is not about aggressive selling, this is about personality and intelligence led need based solutions sales. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate. Role Overview As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role on the frontline within the organisation, fulfilling a number of complementary functions. Aside from effectively opening, nurturing and converting sales to achieve organisational objectives; you also have a role in the definition and development of the entire organisation: - Identifying new opportunities - Assessing competitor activity, strengths and weaknesses - Highlighting functional considerations (strengths and weaknesses) Duties As one of the Business Development Managers, there are a number of duties that are you are expected to undertake with professionalism and diligence each and every day. Whilst not fully exclusive, these include: Sales Management & Reporting - . Ensuring that your pipeline is constantly managed and updated to reflect the latest status. - . Comprehensive recording of any action against an opportunity or account to ensure full visibility and effective post-sales handovers. - . Full and accurate time recording of defined activities; Demo Prep, Demo time etc., Enquiry Management Following defined contact strategies to ensure that all leads are thoroughly and effectively engaged to optimise your conversion performance. Talking to potential clients to accurately understand their pain points and effectively taking these needs to present the solution. Handling inbound sales enquiries. Outbound telemarketing lead generation. Researching and identifying new opportunities. Pipeline Management - Nurturing opportunities within the context, qualifying them and developing them to the correct product and progressing accordingly, either to close, or through to the next sales stage. - Demonstrating the product set to potential customers. - Creating business cases to support opportunity qualification and the overall sales process. - Working with the Commercial team to price opportunities ensuring that Executive sign-off is provided on every formal pricing that is given to all and any sales opportunities. - Visiting Sales prospects to close opportunities. - Achievement of your annual sales targets. - - About you. - To be considered for this role you will need to evidence an intimate and intelligent understanding of need based sales You need to be hungry for the sale, persistent and professional not aggressive enjoying the reward of nurturing target clients. You'll be highly driven and be looking for a role and company within which you can grow and develop over the long-term, so being collaborative, pragmatic, confident with an entrepreneurial and commercial flair are integral to this role. It is also important that you have a naturally inquisitive nature and are comfortable with a fast-paced environment, internally and externally. However, here are some of the key qualities that we are seeking from candidates. - Demonstrable understanding of needs based solution sales. - Ambitious with a keen desire to forward your career. - Pragmatic, structured and collaborative approach. - Personable and able to build rapport and relationships instantaneously. - You are an exciting, driven and passionate Sales Professional who wants to a achieve results. - You love learning and have a natural intellect to understand and translate information, especially detailed and complex product information. - You are tenacious with an intelligence to know when to change tack. - You have a strong Commercial acumen, with a good eye for an opportunity. - You can balance a pragmatic, logical approach with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. - You will be a strong team player with excellent communicational and interpersonal skills. The understanding of the core process and demonstrable evidence of success within this remit is critical. Experience of working within an SME is also favourable, however, small team experience is also a bonus. Specifics we're-looking for: - At least two years' experience in an internal, office/phone-based solution based sales role. - Internal Sales Experience - Experience in B2B Sales. - Experience in working directly with multiple client types to deliver a tailored, personal service. - Experience of working in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Ability to create and foster relationships with a variety of personalities, internally and externally while upholding the highest degree of professionalism. - Superior communication (writing, editing, presenting) skills. - Experience of learning, new and complex products. - Benefits: Excellent basic salary with uncapped bonus/20 days holiday rising by 1 day per year after two years/Birthdays off/Health Insurance including Eye and Dental Care/Annual Anniversary Gifts/Company Social Budget

Salary Upto £30k plus uncapped commission.
