This candidate brings more than 25 years’ operational and HR leadership experience in organisational development and strategic HR, leadership and management development, executive and performance coaching, mentoring, and diagnostics in operations to her roles. She has a significant track record of delivering successful business partnering and OD solutions, which have facilitated high performance and inspirational, sustainable and transformational behaviour, performance and culture change. 

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

·         Led a breadth of HR interventions including: a new country wide HR policy set, a global behavioural competency matrix, highly successful talent attraction, recruitment and competency assessments, performance management systems and leadership development interventions for high performance, organisational structure and job description reviews creating a JD manual for 72 staff, diversity and gender balance interventions and succession planning diagnostics

·         Led 35 HR and L&D professionals in end to end organisational development and L&D solutions for 4000 employees delivering 6% ROI across £898m business operations

·         Delivered strategic HR and OD business partnering consultancy, for support of strategy, planning, HR policy, attendance, employee relations and process improvement during significant restructuring, relocation and transformational change

·         Designed and delivered professional bespoke transition activity to meet the people agenda, facilitating the alignment and embedding of a merged structure, new strategy, and high performance business culture for 900 senior leaders and 26,000 staff during significant business growth and transformational culture change

·         Delivered diagnostic excellence for inspirational behaviour change creating a breadth of tangible business improvements and commercial agility by 25% across 5 key performance areas for 6000 leaders

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Managing Consultant, OD & Strategic HR and Leadership Development (2015-2017)

Reporting directly to the CEO, provided international organisational development and strategic HR, leadership development for high performance, and executive coaching.  Led managing consultancy and career development diagnostic projects for development foundations such as Gatsby Africa and The Aga Khan, market facilitators such as FSD Africa, FSD Mozambique and FSD Zambia, consultancies such as MicroSave Africa, and Banks such as the East Africa Development Bank and FINCA across East Africa, Asia and the UK.  Guest speaker at a national CEOs conference and a global HR conference in Dubai on high performance and building a coaching culture.

International Organisational Development Consultant and Researcher (2011-2015)

Completed a Masters in International HRM/HRD in organisational development, leadership development and individual L&D and commenced Doctoral Programme in HRD professional practice.  Worked with the leadership teams of 90 Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Tanzania, East Africa to complete MA research and HRD dissertation. Lectured undergraduate students on organisational development, facilitated MBA workshops and Business Partnered the Branch Manager of Waitrose.com in organisational development diagnostic projects and research during considerable organisational change.  Business coached and delivered MBTI feedback and workshops to not for profit trusts and an entrepreneurial organisation in London.  Provided leadership in the UK of a global voluntary organisation of 5m women.

Management Development Consultant (2006-2011)

Led delivery of 100+ OD & strategic HR, leadership and management and L&D projects and programmes, and leadership coaching and mentoring following merge of UK's capital public, private and not for profit organisations (25,000 employees). Delivered organisational, directorate and team wide strategic vision through diagnostic excellence. Led multiple HR development programmes with HR Business Partners, Recruitment Consultants, Diversity and Inclusion specialists and the total reward team, impacting HR specialist and generalist practice and strategy.

Management Development Specialist (2005-2006)

Delivered diagnostic needs analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of internal management development programmes. Developed L&D strategy, designed and mapped blended learning solutions. Embedded new organisational strategic objectives and values into leadership and management development interventions. Designed and led organisational and specialist induction programmes, led HR policy and diversity development interventions and led strategic relationship management with external specialist practitioners.

HR L&D Delivery Manager and Performance Coach (2003-2005)

Headhunted to provide HR leadership and performance management services across four teams of 35 HR and L&D professionals impacting technical and behavioural development of 4000 managers and key employees. Facilitated mayoral London project delivering 6% ROI on operating performance of 16,000 employees. Controlled budgets to ensure successful project implementation.

HR Project Manager, Organisational Development (2001-2003)

Headhunted into HR organisational development, designed and developed strategic diagnostic analysis tools, models and approaches achieving organisational best practice. Delivered organisational development projects focused on sustainable performance step change.  Designed and delivered complex HR OD programmes and projects in technical, specialist and behaviour development to 49 geographically dispersed business teams across London, influencing performance change in commerciality and return on investment for 6,000 employees. Facilitated talent development and defined evolutionary succession pipeline strategy.

Operational Manager (1996-2001)

Led teams of operational specialists to significantly impact high performance.  Headhunted to conduct analysis of performance of 5,000 employees, identify efficiencies and influenced an organisational wide customer service delivery standards programme. Implemented business improvement programme, focused on systems, process, behaviour and culture change for 300 managers and employees during merger of nine business units into three service delivery units. Identified opportunities to improve capacity and capability. Delivered transitional performance improvement programme and talent attraction strategy for 250 specialists influencing customer service behaviour change and operational succession pipelines.

Part Time Interim Project Manager and Temping Assignments (1991-1996)

Performance change assignments in B2B support and solutions, TSB in monitoring poor performing assets across the British Isles; delivering development and performance improvement solutions for Branch Managers, and Abbey National in Loan Advisory. 

Operations, Public Affairs, Training and Rules and Regulations role (1984 - 1991)

Gained significant operational and operational support experience in a variety of business roles as a foundation to leadership and performance management.  Left to work locally whilst family was young.
